All-round goodness is a concept for a healthy snack, developed to reduce food waste with a systemic design view.

The local rice and wine industry in Piemonte (Italy) discards tonnes of food "waste" every year. However, this waste - such as grape pomace - still has much potential and could be used in other industries.

All-round goodness was designed for the company Tuttovo, aimed at recycling the by-products of the above mentioned industries into healthy snacks.
The snacks not only had to incapsulate the concept of "systemic design", but needed to be whole wheat and nutraceutical as well, in order to be appealing to the bio/health-food market.

User personas

A range of user personas was developed on the basis of market research and user interviews.
The interviews were conducted primarily in biological stores and health-food shops.

Packaging

Three versions were designed, each with their own packaging and explanation of ingredients.

The packaging is appealing and bright, which would stand out on the shelves of any shop.
It is easy to open and close, keeping the snacks fresh for long.
